Air India faced a new crisis on Sunday when flight AI2994, en route from Mumbai to Delhi, was stuck on the runway for over three hours. The flight was scheduled to depart at 10:25 am from Terminal 2, but it remained grounded until 1:30 pm, causing restlessness among the passengers. The passengers became hungry and thirsty, and were only served food, which was the same as the breakfast that was loaded on the plane in the morning. The airline failed to provide an alternative lounge for the passengers to relax, leading to frustration. A video from inside the plane showed passengers getting impatient, with many standing up and interacting with each other. The passengers, including children, women, and the elderly, were reportedly on board the flight, which was a source of concern for the airline’s management.
