EMotorad, a company specializing in electric bicycles, has achieved a Guinness World Records title for the “Largest Electric Bicycle Delivery” in a 24-hour period. The record attempt took place on January 31, 2026, in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh, with the support of the District Collectorate of Chittoor, Kuppam Area Development Authority, and IIT Kanpur. During the 24-hour distribution drive, EMotorad delivered electric bicycles to over 10,000 families in Kuppam and the Chittoor district, including small traders, MSME operators, shop owners, and other workers who rely on daily travel.

The initiative was linked to the “Super Cycle” program, associated with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The electric bicycles used in the record attempt were assembled by the EMotorad team within 72 hours before the event, with over 1,000 team members involved. The company’s Co-founder and CEO, Kunal Gupta, expressed his elation at the success of the event, thanking the District Collectorate of Chittoor and Kuppam Area Development Authority for their support.

Guinness World Records Senior Adjudicator, Swapnil Dangrikar, confirmed the record, stating that it was a new category created, and congratulated the EMotorad team on their achievement. Gupta revealed that this is just the beginning, with at least 20 other discussions lined up with nodal authorities and collectorates across India, aiming to deliver 100,000 cycles by November 2026.

The electric bicycles supplied under the program are designed for daily commuting, featuring removable rechargeable batteries, pedal-assist modes, front suspension, and mechanical disc brakes. With minimal running and maintenance costs, they are suitable for work and household travel, making them an ideal solution for many recipients who received their first personal vehicle. The record attempt demonstrates the potential of public-private partnerships in creating high-impact initiatives, and EMotorad’s commitment to providing sustainable and affordable transportation solutions to communities across India.
