A disturbing incident of violence occurred in Lucknow’s Gudamba police station area on Saturday, where a man, Manoj Srivastava, was brutally assaulted by staff members of an electric scooter company in front of his son, Harsh. The attack took place when Manoj and Harsh visited the service centre to inquire about the status of their scooter, which had been sent for servicing over a week ago. When Harsh asked about the status, he was met with abuse and hostility from one of the employees.

The situation escalated when Manoj protested, and the employee allegedly called his associates, who launched a physical attack on him. CCTV and mobile footage show the staff punching and kicking Manoj, despite bystanders pleading with them to stop. The assault was so severe that Manoj was chased by the attackers for nearly 200 metres when his son tried to record the incident on his phone.

The accused, identified as Ajay Yadav, Priyanshu Dwivedi, Shubham Srivastava, and Abhishek Rajput, were taken into custody by the Gudamba police on Sunday. The police action came after Harsh managed to escape from the attackers and alerted the authorities. The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of customers at service centres and the need for companies to ensure that their staff behave in a professional and respectful manner.

The incident is a shocking example of the violence and aggression that can be unleashed by company staff when they feel threatened or challenged by customers. The fact that the attack took place in front of a child is particularly disturbing, and it is fortunate that Harsh was able to escape and seek help. The police have taken swift action in arresting the accused, and it is hoped that they will be held accountable for their actions. The incident serves as a reminder of the need for companies to prioritize customer safety and ensure that their staff are trained to handle difficult situations in a professional and respectful manner.
