Hero MotoCorp is set to enter the electric motorcycle segment with the unveiling of two new concept models at the EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy. The company has teased two electric bikes, the Vida Project VXZ and the Vida Ubex Concept, which are expected to go on sale in India next year. The Vida Project VXZ is a naked streetfighter model that appears to be production-ready, with features such as a projector headlight, split-seat setup, and disc brakes at both ends. It is expected to come with a TFT instrument cluster, multiple ride modes, and connected features, as well as a single-channel ABS as a standard safety feature.

The Vida Project VXZ is likely to be equipped with a belt-drive system, mid-mounted electric motor, and a battery pack positioned in place of the conventional petrol engine. The suspension duties will be handled by USD front forks and rear monoshock. Although the battery pack capacity and range on a single charge have not been revealed, the Vida VXZ is expected to launch in early 2026.

The Vida Ubex Concept, on the other hand, is an electric off-roading motorcycle that looks more like a concept model. It features an exposed rear subframe, higher front fender, and split-seat setup, previewing an adventure electric motorcycle. Since it is still a concept model, it is expected to go on sale during the festive season of 2026 in India, with production likely to start 8-10 months prior to its launch.

Hero MotoCorp currently retails two electric scooters, the Vida V2 and Vida VX2, in India. The company’s entry into the electric motorcycle segment will pit it against established players such as Ola Roadster X, Revolt RV400, and Oben Rorr. With the unveiling of the Vida Project VXZ and Vida Ubex Concept, Hero MotoCorp is set to make a significant impact in the electric motorcycle market in India. Further details about the two electric motorcycles will be revealed at the EICMA 2025, and the company is expected to launch the production-ready models in the Indian market soon after.
