Hero MotoCorp, a leading two-wheeler manufacturer in India, is expanding its electric vehicle range with the upcoming launch of the Hero Vida Ubex, an electric motorcycle. The company had previously launched the Vida VX2 scooter and is now entering the electric motorcycle segment with the Ubex. A teaser of the bike was recently released on social media, generating significant buzz among enthusiasts. The Hero Vida Ubex is expected to be a stylish roadster or streetfighter bike, appealing to young riders with its aggressive design and features such as alloy wheels, a single-piece seat, and petal disc brakes.

The bike will be powered by a mid-mounted electric motor connected to the rear wheel via a belt drive system, providing a smooth and quiet riding experience. Although official performance details have not been revealed, it is expected to offer power comparable to petrol bikes in the 200cc segment and a range of approximately 200 kilometers, suitable for both city and highway conditions. The Hero Vida Ubex is being developed in partnership with Zero Motorcycles, known for its advanced electric motor and performance technology, making it a premium and high-performance option in its segment.

The Hero Vida Ubex is expected to compete directly with the Ola Roadster, and its launch is anticipated to take place in 2026, possibly after being showcased as a concept at the EICMA show in November 2025. This bike will add a new chapter to Hero’s electric portfolio, which already includes concept models such as the Vida Lynx and Vida Acro. The Ubex is considered the most production-ready concept to date, indicating that Hero is now ready to make a strong entry into the electric motorcycle segment. With its advanced features, powerful performance, and expected range, the Hero Vida Ubex is poised to strengthen Hero’s hold in the Indian two-wheeler market and provide a competitive alternative to existing electric motorcycles.
