The 11th edition of India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2025 is scheduled to take place in New Delhi from July 8 to 10, hosted by the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA). The event aims to support the Indian government’s mission to become a global manufacturing hub by facilitating new business deals, collaborations, foreign investments, and the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). IESA projects that India will attract over Rs. 8,000 crore in investments for energy storage, electric vehicles, and green hydrogen at IESW 2025.
The event will feature international delegates from countries such as Australia, Germany, France, and the USA, and will have state partners including Gujarat, Odisha, Telangana, and Chhattisgarh. Various ministries will also support the event, contributing to the promotion of a robust manufacturing ecosystem. The investment is expected to lead to innovations, cutting-edge research, and development, resulting in significant advancements in the products manufactured by companies in these sectors.
According to Vinayak Walimbe, Managing Director of Customized Energy Solutions, IESW 2025 is poised to be a game-changer for India’s energy storage sector, with a remarkable surge in investments expected. The event will serve as a crucial milestone, transforming the landscape of the country’s energy storage, electric vehicle, and green hydrogen industries.
The Indian battery and mobility startup ecosystem is anticipated to experience robust growth in the coming years, with over 6,600 cleantech startups operating across 450 districts throughout India. IESA has projected that the Indian mobility and battery startups will attract an investment of USD 500 million within a year, driving innovation and advancements in the sector.
Debmalya Sen, President of IESA, emphasized that IESW 2025 is a pivotal moment for the energy storage sector in India, with a dedicated day for stationary storage, green hydrogen, e-mobility, and manufacturing. The event will witness the convergence of world-class innovations and foreign investments, driving the industry forward. IESW 2025 will also act as a launchpad for multiple factories and gigafactory announcements and collaborations, increasing domestic manufacturing capabilities and creating a more secure supply chain.
Over 150 key partners, exhibitors, and more than 1,000 companies will participate in IESW 2025 at the Yashobhoomi Convention and Expo Centre in New Delhi. The event is expected to be a significant milestone in the growth of India’s energy storage sector, with a focus on driving innovation, investment, and collaboration. With its impressive lineup of international delegates, state partners, and ministry support, IESW 2025 is set to be a premier event in the energy storage and advanced battery industry in India.
