The new Jeep Compass has been unveiled, boasting a sharper and edgier design, as well as various upgrades to its interior, technology, and powertrain options. The vehicle now offers 55mm of additional legroom, a larger 34-litre front storage compartment, and an increased boot capacity of 45 litres, bringing the total to 550 litres. The new infotainment system features a 10-inch cluster and a 16-inch infotainment screen, and also includes advanced technologies such as Level 2 autonomous driving, a head-up display, semi-automatic lane change, and Matrix LED headlights.

In terms of powertrain options, the new Compass will be available with three different choices: a 48V e-hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, and three battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants. The 48V e-hybrid produces 145bhp, while the plug-in hybrid produces 195bhp. The BEV options range from 213bhp in the front-wheel drive version to 375bhp in the all-wheel drive version. Jeep has also introduced a new dedicated rear electric motor that provides an additional 49 kW of peak power and up to 232Nm of torque.

The new Compass also features advanced EV charging capabilities, with a 160kW DC charger solution that can recharge the battery from 20-80% in just 30 minutes. The onboard charger also offers up to 22kW of power. The highest range in the BEV line-up is an impressive 650km. To celebrate the launch, Jeep is offering a First Edition version of the Compass, which will be available with either a 48V e-hybrid powertrain or a BEV variant with 213bhp and a claimed range of 500km.
