I am Bharsth Kumar from Chennai, and I purchased the TVS Sport bike in January. I have been using it extensively, commuting to work and college, and have covered over 1600 kilometers in a short period. Initially, I had planned to use the bike for five years as a cheap mode of transportation, but my experience has been disappointing. Despite its affordable price of Rs. 83,000, I would not recommend this bike to anyone, even those looking for a budget-friendly option.
The bike has some positive aspects, such as its stylish looks and comfortable suspension when riding with a passenger. However, the cons far outweigh the pros. The braking system is poor, with weak rear brakes and a sharp front brake that can throw the rider off balance. The engine performance is also subpar, with vibrations felt throughout the bike when traveling at speeds above 40 km/h.
The gear ratio and gearbox are poorly designed, requiring constant gear changes, especially when riding in traffic. I noticed this issue after riding my brother’s Hero Passion Plus, which was purchased at the same time. The bike’s performance is also affected by the weight of the rider, with a noticeable difference in handling when riding solo or with a passenger.
Other issues I have experienced with the TVS Sport include a jerky transmission, engine stall when shifting gears, and a tendency to wheelie when a heavier person is seated at the back. The bike’s uneven weight distribution and rough acceleration contribute to this problem. Overall, my experience with the TVS Sport has been disappointing, and I would recommend considering alternative options like the Bajaj Platina 100, Platina 110, CT 110x, CT 100x, or HF Deluxe, which offer better performance and value for money.
