Solex Energy Ltd, a leading solar company in India, is bolstering its manufacturing capabilities with the launch of a new 2.2 GW solar module production line. This expansion is expected to be operational by early Q3 of FY 2025-26, increasing the company’s total capacity to nearly 4 GW. The new production line will employ advanced technology, including TOPCon (glass-to-glass) technology and artificial intelligence-driven automation. This will enable faster and more efficient production of high-performance solar modules, with a cycle time of under 16 seconds per module.
The new production line will be powered by Zhuhai Gmee Solar Equipment Co., a global leader in solar equipment supply. Their expertise and best-in-class technology will support Solex’s rapid expansion plans.
The company has reported significant financial growth, with an 80% revenue increase in FY 2023-24 and a 110% compound annual growth rate (CAGR). This strong performance has enabled Solex to accelerate its Vision 2030 roadmap. In addition to the new solar module production line, the company plans to establish a new 2 GW solar cell manufacturing facility, scalable up to 5 GW, and expand module production capacity to 15 GW.
The increased capacity will solidify Solex’s position as a key player in India’s solar energy sector. The expansion will also enable the company to supply high-performance solar modules to meet growing demand and contribute to India’s renewable energy goals. With a focus on quality, productivity, and efficiency, Solex Energy Ltd is set to become a major force in the solar industry.
