The agency has also implemented other energy-saving initiatives, including:
* Distributing 3 crore 9W LED bulbs to 8 lakh domestic consumers
* Replacing existing street light fixtures with 1.7 lakh LED fixtures under the Street light National Programme
* Notifying mandatory use of energy-efficient appliances, such as BLDC fans, LED lights, and five-star rated air conditioners for new government buildings and upcoming industries
* Empaneling 18 professionals as energy auditors/third-party assessors to certify projects to be Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) compliant
The state of Goa has been awarded the second prize at the national level in the institutional category for the State Energy Efficiency Performance Award (Category 3) for two consecutive years.
