Ariana Hurtado is a seasoned managing editor with over a decade of experience in copy editing, project management, and journalism. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, she is currently serving as editor-in-chief of Offshore magazine. In this role, she oversees the editorial team, content, and digital growth of the brand.

With her extensive editorial expertise, Hurtado manages digital media for Offshore, creates and oversees new special industry reports, and contributes content to the magazine, newsletters, and website as a copy editor and writer. Prior to her current role, she served as editor and director of special reports at Offshore from 2022 to 2024.

Hurtado’s background also includes a stint as senior managing editor of publications with Hart Energy, where she worked for nearly nine years. Before joining Hart, she was a news editor on the copy desk at the Houston Chronicle. Her education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Houston, which she earned magna cum laude.
