The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has updated its Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, adding three new entrants: Asote Solutions, MKU Holdings, and Axitec Energy. These companies have met the necessary regulatory and technical requirements, strengthening India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem. The latest update lists 93 approved module manufacturers, with a total capacity of over 70 GW.

The new additions include Asote Solutions with a capacity of 152 MW, MKU Holdings with a capacity of 1,183 MW, and Axitec Energy India with a capacity of 18 MW. This brings the total number of companies on the list to 93, ensuring a strong and diverse supply of high-quality solar modules.

On the other hand, a few companies have been delisted from the ALMM as part of MNRE’s continuous monitoring process to ensure only high-quality and compliant manufacturers remain on the list.

The ALMM was introduced in 2021 as a quality control measure to ensure that only approved solar module manufacturers are eligible for government projects, subsidies, and tenders. The list is regularly updated to reflect the status of compliant manufacturers.

The latest update also includes provisional ALMM enlistment for additional solar module models from companies such as ECE (India) Energies Ltd., FS India Solar Ventures, and ReNew Photovoltaics. This suggests a positive outlook for the Indian solar industry, with more companies stepping up to meet the growing demand for solar energy.
