Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. has achieved a significant milestone, producing 10 million two-wheelers in India since its inception 20 years ago. The company’s 10 millionth unit, an Access Ride Connect Edition, was rolled out from its Gurugram facility, highlighting its steady expansion in one of the world’s most competitive two-wheeler markets. Notably, Suzuki reached its first 5 million units in 2020, but achieved the next 5 million units in just six years, demonstrating a rapid phase of growth.

The Access 125 scooter has played a central role in Suzuki’s success in India, popularizing the 125 cc segment and evolving to meet changing customer expectations while retaining its focus on reliability and ease of use. The model remains Suzuki’s highest volume product and continues to anchor the brand’s presence in the mass market. In addition to scooters, Suzuki has expanded its portfolio to cater to riders beyond the commuter segment, with models such as the Gixxer series, V-Strom SX, and larger capacity motorcycles like the Hayabusa and GSX-8R.

Suzuki has also made significant strides in exports, with made-in-India two-wheelers now being shipped to over 60 markets, positioning India as an important manufacturing base for the company. The company has recently opened bookings for its first electric scooter, the Suzuki e-Access, which builds on the familiarity of the Access brand while adopting a new electric platform. The e-Access has been designed with an emphasis on durability, predictable performance, and long-term ownership, featuring a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, multiple ride modes, regenerative braking, and reverse assist.

To support its entry into the electric space, Suzuki has focused on backend readiness, with a sales and service network of over 1,200 touchpoints being supported with trained EV technicians, dedicated tools, and a growing charging setup. Looking ahead, Suzuki Motorcycle India is preparing for higher volumes across segments, with a second manufacturing facility under development in Haryana to support future demand, both domestic and export-led. With its strong presence in the Indian market and expanding portfolio, Suzuki is well-positioned for continued growth and success in the years to come.
