India Yamaha Motor has unveiled a range of new models for the Indian market, including the XSR155 modern retro motorcycle, the Aerox E and EC-06 electric scooters, and the FZ Rave variant. The XSR155 is priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and features a 155-cc liquid-cooled engine with 18.4 hp and 14.2 Nm of torque. The bike has a unique styling direction with a round LED headlight, teardrop fuel tank, and flat single-piece seat. It also comes with dual-channel ABS, traction control, and four color options.
The Aerox E and EC-06 are Yamaha’s first electric offerings in India, scheduled to launch in early 2026. The Aerox E has a 9.4 kW peak motor, 48 Nm of torque, and a certified range of 106 kilometers. It features twin detachable batteries, three ride modes, and a five-inch TFT display with navigation. The EC-06, on the other hand, has a fixed 4 kWh battery, 160 kilometers of certified range, and a peak motor output of 6.7 kW. It is designed for urban commuters and focuses on practicality rather than performance.
The FZ Rave is a new variant of the popular FZ series, priced at Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom). It features a 149-cc air-cooled engine, 12.4 hp, and 13.3 Nm of torque. The bike has single-channel ABS, front and rear disc brakes, and full LED lighting. It is positioned as a practical daily option, building on the success of the FZ-S series, which has sold 2.75 million units in India.
Yamaha has also announced plans to launch 26 new two-wheelers in India by the end of next year, marking one of the brand’s most significant product offensives in recent memory. The company is aiming to cater to a wide range of customers, from premium motorcycle enthusiasts to urban commuters, with its new models. With the introduction of electric scooters, Yamaha is also looking to tap into the growing demand for eco-friendly vehicles in India. Overall, the new launches and upcoming models are expected to help Yamaha strengthen its position in the Indian two-wheeler market.
