In a significant move to boost electric vehicle (EV) adoption in India, Bolt.Earth, the country’s largest EV charging network, has partnered with Atul Greentech Private Limited, a leading manufacturer of electric three-wheelers. The collaboration has launched a nationwide Home Charging Program, a first-of-its-kind initiative that aims to make home charging a standard feature for EV owners. The program includes the installation of professionally fitted home chargers with every purchase of an Atul Greentech vehicle, as well as customer education to promote safe and efficient charging habits.

The partnership addresses two major barriers to EV ownership in India: reliable access to charging and building consumer confidence. According to Mr. Divya Chandra, Managing Director of Atul Greentech, the goal is to make owning and charging an EV as simple and dependable as any other daily routine. The rollout of the program will be executed in phases over the next three years, with the first stage involving planning and process alignment, followed by the nationwide installation of home chargers and educational campaigns, and finally, optimizing performance and expanding into new areas.

Bolt.Earth brings its extensive network to the partnership, having already deployed over 100,000 chargers across more than 1,800 cities. The company will handle the installation, maintenance, and operational reliability of the chargers, as well as providing technical and billing support. Atul Greentech will integrate the program into its dealer network, lead awareness efforts, and link vehicle warranty coverage to the safe use of the approved home chargers.

The partnership paves the way for future expansion into new services like solar-powered charging and predictive maintenance, aiming to build a more accessible and user-friendly EV ecosystem for India. With this collaboration, Bolt.Earth and Atul Greentech are working to make EV charging as routine and reliable as plugging in a phone. The initiative has the potential to accelerate EV adoption in India, making electric vehicles a more viable option for consumers and contributing to a more sustainable transportation sector. By addressing the key barriers to EV ownership, the partnership is poised to play a significant role in shaping the future of electric mobility in India.
