Arctech, a leading provider of solar tracking systems, has signed a strategic contract with ACME Cleantech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. to supply 175 MWp of solar trackers for the 300 MTPD Green Ammonia Project in Duqm, Oman. The project, located on the southeastern coast of Oman, is one of the first large-scale green hydrogen production facilities in the region. The site’s extreme environment, characterized by high wind speeds, corrosion, and intense solar radiation, requires specialized equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Arctech will deploy its Signature 1P Single Axis Solar Tracking System Skyline II, designed for harsh environments, to support the solar PV component of the project. The trackers will be delivered in phases starting from July 2025. This partnership reinforces Oman’s long-term vision of sourcing 35-39% of its electricity from renewables by 2040 and positions the Duqm region as a central hub in the global energy transition.

The project is a significant milestone in industrial decarbonization, integrating solar power with next-gen hydrogen fuel technologies. Arctech’s extensive experience in large-scale projects across the globe instills confidence in this partnership. Vipin Aggarwal, VP of Procurement in Green Hydrogen and International Business, expressed confidence in Arctech’s advanced tracking solutions and project execution capabilities, citing their ability to support optimal energy efficiency and reliability in challenging site conditions.

The Duqm region’s favorable climate, with high solar insolation, makes it an ideal location for utility-scale solar projects. Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP) has introduced renewable energy initiatives, including a new Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) project in Duqm, to achieve a diverse energy mix. This partnership underscores Arctech’s growing role in enabling renewable energy megaprojects worldwide and sets a new benchmark in clean energy integration.

The 300 MTPD Green Ammonia Project is a flagship initiative in Oman’s energy transition, and Arctech’s involvement is a testament to the company’s expertise in delivering high-performance solar tracking systems for large-scale projects. As the global energy landscape continues to evolve, partnerships like this will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of renewable energy sources and reducing carbon emissions. With the project’s completion, Oman will take a significant step towards achieving its renewable energy targets and establishing itself as a leader in the global energy transition.
