Xiaomi, the leading tech giant, has officially unveiled its first electric SUV, the YU7. The company is set to announce launch details in July 2025, and bookings are expected to commence soon after. The YU7 has been built on Xiaomi’s Modena platform, measuring 4999 mm in length, 1996 mm in width, and 1608 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000 mm. The electric SUV will be available in nine color options, including green, orange, and metallic titanium finishes.

In terms of design, the YU7 features an aggressive style statement with a fully LED headlight setup, paired with DRLs, and a C-shaped light bar at the back. The model will be offered with stylish alloy wheels, ranging from 19-inch to 20-inch. The YU7 also boasts inward-folding electric door handles with ambient lighting, as well as UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technology, which supports smartphone-based keyless entry and boot access.

The interior of the YU7 is equipped with a 43-inch-wide “HyperVision” display, allowing passengers to access various features with ease. Other notable features include ‘zero gravity’ front seats with a 123-degree recline option, a futuristic multi-functional steering wheel, automatic climate control, and more. The YU7 will be available in three variants: RWD, AWD, and Max AWD. The RWD variant comes with a 96.3 kWh LFP battery, offering a range of 835 km. The AWD and Max AWD variants come with a 96.3 kWh LFP battery and a 101.7 kWh NCM battery, offering ranges of 770 km and 760 km, respectively.
