SK Eco Plant, a company associated with the SK Group, is launching a “Tech Open Collaboration” contest to discover and support innovative technologies in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) fields. The competition is designed to find promising startups with exceptional capabilities and technologies, and provide them with resources to foster their growth.

The contest will be open in eight areas:

1. Semiconductor EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction)
2. Semiconductor process
3. Semiconductor water
4. Semiconductor by-products
5. Robots and AI
6. Water treatment, energy, and carbon reduction
7. Marine and offshore wind power
8. Eco-friendly apartment houses and energy

Startups with innovative technologies in these areas, as well as those with less than 7 years of business history, can apply for the contest. The application period will run until the 9th of next month, and the selection process will involve document and pitch review evaluations.

The selected startups will receive government funding and investment from participating institutions, and will also collaborate with SK Eco Plant and its subsidiaries on joint R&D and technology commercialization. This collaboration aims to establish a sustainable industrial ecosystem through technology development and commercialization.

According to Jung Tae-soo, an SK Eco Plant purchasing executive, the contest is an opportunity to realize the establishment of a sustainable industrial ecosystem through collaboration with various institutions and startups. The goal is to create a platform for innovation and growth in the semiconductor and AI fields.
