CK Power Public Company Limited, a leading renewable electricity producer in Southeast Asia, is expanding its Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) business to support the global shift to clean energy and sustainability goals. The company is partnering with Mekha V Company Limited to assess RECs integration through the ReAcc platform, enabling multinational companies to incorporate clean energy into their supply chains.

According to Mr. Thanawat Trivisvavet, Managing Director of CK Power, RECs are an essential tool for businesses to demonstrate their use of renewable energy and meet science-based emissions reduction targets. He added that CK Power has been actively involved in RECs trading since 2022, registering renewable energy projects on trading platforms in partnership with Innopower Company Limited. To date, the company has delivered over 39,660.46 RECs to clients and empowers companies around the world to fulfill their sustainability commitments.

CK Power is also growing its solar energy capacity, developing 13 MW of new solar projects in collaboration with Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited. Its subsidiary, BKC, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) for a 6 MW solar project, expected to be operational by 2027.

The company aims to have over 95% of its energy portfolio sourced from renewables by 2043 and is working towards net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 through innovation, energy efficiency, and sustainability efforts. With its focus on renewable energy and sustainability, CK Power is well-positioned to support the global transition to a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.
