A major fire broke out at Praj Matrix, a bio-energy firm, in Mulshi tehsil of Pune district on Friday. According to the police, the blaze started at 8:30 pm in the server room on the first floor of the three-storey structure, causing the fire to spread quickly to the adjacent office and service floor on the second level. Even the solar panels on the roof caught fire, prompting a swift response from the emergency services.
Six fire engines were deployed to bring the fire under control, and after several hours of intense efforts, the situation has been brought back to normal. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties, which is a significant relief.
The exact cause of the fire is not yet known, and an investigation is still ongoing to determine the origins of this significant blaze. The lack of casualties, however, is a major silver lining in this ordeal.
