Global investment firm Actis has acquired full ownership of Stride Climate Investments, a solar energy portfolio in India. The portfolio consists of 371MW (414MWp) of operating solar photovoltaic (PV) assets across 21 projects in 7 states, with the majority located in Gujarat. The deal value was not disclosed. This acquisition marks Actis’ third energy generation platform in India, joining BluPine Energy and Athena Renewables.
Actis has invested over $7.1 billion in Asia since its inception, with a focus on building or operating over 8GW of installed capacity, including 5.5GW of renewable energy. The company’s long-term infrastructure investment approach prioritizes delivering cash yields to investors while also supporting growth in dynamic markets.
