MG is upgrading its Select chain of showrooms to premium, and its first two products, the Cyberster sports car and the M9 luxury MPV, are set to make a statement. The M9, a luxury multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), has been revealed with its color palette, and it offers three somber options: Cardiff black, Luminous white, and Mystic grey. These colors are cautious choices, given the vehicle’s positioning and pricing.

The M9 is equipped with a 90kWh battery pack, providing a WLTP-certified range of 430km on a single charge. It also boasts a 241bhp and 350Nm powertrain, featuring a front-wheel-drive configuration.

The MG M9 is targeting the luxury MPV market, currently dominated by vehicles like the Toyota Vellfire, Lexus LM, Kia EV9, and the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 9. These cars are popular among Bollywood stars, a demographic MG wants to tap into and fill the BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) niche, which is currently unserved. The M9 is expected to be priced between Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 1.10 crore. With its premium positioning and features, the MG M9 is set to be a strong contender in this segment, offering a stylish and high-performance option that combines luxury, practicality, and eco-friendliness.
