Royal Enfield, a well-known motorcycle brand, surprised the world with its first all-electric bike, the Flying Flea, at the EICMA motorcycle show last year. The bike was a hit, with its retro-roadster design and modern features. Now, the company is set to launch its new electric bike, the Flying Flea C6, in India, which promises to take the brand to the next level.
The new Flying Flea C6 is built on a new aluminum frame, which helps keep the bike’s weight under 100 kg. This compact design is inspired by the World War II-era bike, but with a modern twist. The bike also features a unique girder fork suspension system, which is a first in production electric bikes. This suspension system, combined with a mono-shock, provides a smooth ride.
The bike’s power unit is housed in a finned battery chamber, similar to the Harley-Davidson LiveWire models. The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 has a range of around 160 km in city driving, and can reach speeds of up to 115 kmph. The bike can be charged using standard domestic power outlets.
The Flying Flea C6 also features advanced technology, including a touchscreen TFT display with proprietary software, cornering ABS, traction control, and cruise control. The bike also allows riders to access over 2 lakh customizable riding modes. Additionally, Royal Enfield has partnered with Qualcomm Technologies to integrate Car-To-Cloud and other connectivity features.
The Flying Flea C6 marks Royal Enfield’s entry into the electric motorcycle segment, with sales set to begin in 2026. The S6 variant will follow shortly, solidifying the brand’s presence in the growing electric two-wheeler market. With its unique design, advanced features, and range, the Flying Flea C6 is expected to be a hit in the market.
