Ola Electric, a new electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has launched its first-ever electric motorcycle, the Roadster X, in India. The motorcycle is available in three variants, each with a different battery pack size: 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh. All three variants are powered by a 7 kW mid-mounted motor. The Roadster X features a telescopic front fork and dual shock absorbers in the rear for suspension, with 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. The motorcycle also has a 4.3-inch LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, reverse mode, and cruise control.
Additionally, the Ola Roadster X comes equipped with features like brake-by-wire, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), over-the-air (OTA) updates, and an all-LED lighting setup. Each variant has its own unique benefits, with the 2.5 kWh battery pack offering the lowest price point of ₹75,000 and the 4.5 kWh battery pack priced at ₹95,000 (introductory, ex-showroom). The other two variants are priced in between, at ₹80,000 and ₹85,000. With its focus on commuter-oriented electric motorcycles, Ola Electric aims to challenge the dominance of electric scooters in the market.
