Iberdrola, a leading global energy company, is working with Norfolk County Council to develop its East Anglia Two offshore wind farm project. The project, worth £4 billion, aims to generate enough electricity to power over 1 million homes. As part of the project, Taylor Woodrow has been appointed to carry out onshore works, including the construction of a substation. Preparatory works for the substation are set to begin in 2025. The East Anglia Two project is a key part of Iberdrola’s plans to develop offshore wind farms in the UK, with a total investment of £6 billion in the region by 2025. The project is expected to create hundreds of jobs during construction and will play a significant role in the UK’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
