Madhya Pradesh, India’s Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that the state aims to produce half of its electricity through solar energy by 2030. To achieve this goal, the state is rapidly increasing its solar energy production, with a focus on providing affordable electricity to industries, trade, and agriculture. Recently, Yadav dedicated two new solar projects, a 550 MW project in Agar-Malwa district (cost: INR 2,200 crore) and a 330 MW project in Neemuch district (cost: INR 1,320 crore). The power generated from the Agar project will be supplied to the Railway Department, enabling trains in seven states to run on sustainable solar power. Additionally, farmers will be provided with one lakh solar pumps to generate electricity for irrigation, making them self-reliant in solar energy production.
