Reliance Power has established a new subsidiary, Reliance Nu Energies, to focus on renewable energy solutions. The subsidiary will operate in solar, wind, geothermal, and firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) sectors, including energy storage such as pump storage hydropower and battery energy storage systems. Mayank Bansal, CEO of Reliance Nu Energies, has 25 years of experience in renewable energy and management consulting. He previously worked at ReNew Power and A.T. Kearney. Rakesh Swaroop, COO of Reliance Nu Energies, has over 17 years of experience in startups and the energy sector, and previously worked at ReNew Power, PR Clean Energy, and Siemens Power Engineering. Reliance Power Ltd, part of the Reliance Group, has an installed power generation capacity of 5,300 MW and operates the 4,000 MW Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project in Madhya Pradesh.
