Hyundai has unveiled its new three-row all-electric SUV, the Ioniq 9, ahead of the LA Auto Show. The SUV is built on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform and features a 110.3kWh battery that provides over 300 miles of range. It will come in two versions: Long Range and Performance, with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive options. The Long Range RWD makes 214hp, while the Performance AWD has a combined output of 600hp. The Ioniq 9 will also feature Tesla Supercharger-supporting North American Charging System ports and bidirectional charging. Other notable features include “Relaxation Seats” in the second row, a slidable center console, and a UV-C sterilizer in the glovebox. The SUV will also get over-the-air software updates and a new app store called “Features on Demand,” which will allow customers to personalize their vehicle with special lighting patterns and digital dash designs for a fee. The Ioniq 9 will be built in Georgia and is expected to go on sale in Q2 2026 as a 2026 model.
