Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal, addressed the 13th Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) India Annual Conference & Expo 2024, highlighting India’s focus on sustainability and navigating change. He emphasized that India’s efforts in green hydrogen, green ammonia, and energy storage will help combat climate change and reduce the country’s import bill. The government’s goal is to achieve a circular economy, promote electric mobility, and produce renewable energy to improve the quality of life for India and the world. Goyal also discussed India’s demographic dividend, citing the country’s low inflation, growing forex reserves, and rapid economic growth, which has earned it the reputation as a “Trusted Partner of the World”. He mentioned that India’s progress in becoming the fifth largest economy and its “One World, One Family and One Future” G20 theme. Goyal also spoke about India’s leadership in 6G technology, with plans to deliver and roll out 6G before other countries. He expressed confidence that India will achieve its goals, aligning with the vision and mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
