PhonePe, a leading UPI payments company, has launched a unique insurance coverage for travelers attending the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, from January 13 to February 26, 2025. The comprehensive insurance plan is available in two variants, catering to different types of travelers: Rs. 59 per traveler for those traveling by train or bus and Rs. 99 per traveler for those traveling by domestic flights.
PhonePe has partnered with ICICI Lombard General Insurance to offer this first-of-its-kind insurance plan, which provides coverage for various risks, including hospitalization, doctor consultation, outpatient treatment, personal accident cover, loss of checked-in baggage, trip cancellation cover, missed connecting flight cover, and repatriation of remains.
The insurance plan can be availed on the PhonePe platform until February 25, 2025, and provides complete coverage for the entire duration of the journey and stay at the Maha Kumbh Mela. The company aims to provide devotees with peace of mind and financial security, allowing them to focus on their devotional journey.
