Canopius Group, a specialty and property and casualty reinsurer, has appointed Olivia Brindle as its new Head of Sustainability. In this role, Brindle will oversee the company’s internal and external sustainability initiatives, ensuring they align with a cohesive strategy to enhance the company’s environmental and social resilience. She will also establish guidelines for sustainable underwriting and promote new products that support the company’s sustainability goals. Brindle brings 16 years of experience in consulting, financial markets, and reinsuring, having previously worked at Swiss Re. She will report to Lindsay Astor, Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy, and will work to advance Canopius’ sustainability efforts.
