The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has launched the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024 for students from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) to pursue higher education. The scheme aims to grant scholarships to students from EWS, enhancing their possibilities for further education and employment. The last date to apply is December 22, 2024. The scholarship is available for students studying in India at government or private colleges/universities, including technical and vocational courses offered by Industrial Training Institutes/Centres. The scheme is divided into two types: general scholarships and special scholarships for girl children. To be eligible, students must have passed Class 10, 12, or equivalent with a minimum of 60% or equivalent CGPA grade in the academic years 2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24 and have taken first-year admission in the academic year 2024-25. The scholarships will be awarded for the entire term of the course, as long as the candidate meets the qualifying requirements for renewal.
