The Union Bank of India’s regional office in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, organized a community service initiative as part of their Empower Her and Power Him programme. The event focused on supporting vulnerable groups in the community, including elderly people at Prashanthi Old Age Home, mentally challenged individuals at Behara Mano Vikasa Kendram, and patients at the Leprosy Prevention Centre in Pogiri. The initiative was led by Regional Head Tilak and involved committee members, union members, and bank staff. A total of 200 blankets and essential items such as rice, pulses, and oils were distributed to the selected organizations. The event underscored the bank’s commitment to community welfare and highlighted its efforts to support marginalized sections of society. The programme aimed to improve the living conditions and overall well-being of the recipients, contributing to the betterment of the community.
