The Union Bank of India has donated a 12-seater ambulance vehicle worth Rs 20 lakh to the SV Medical College (SVMC) in Tirupati to enhance rural healthcare. The initiative aims to dispel cancer-related myths, provide primary treatments, and make healthcare more accessible to rural communities through medical camps. The donation ceremony took place on Monday, with Union Bank of India’s General Manager CVN Bhaskar Rao handing over the vehicle keys to SVMC’s Principal Dr Venkateswarlu. The bank’s Zonal Head G Ramprasad reiterated the bank’s commitment to aiding the healthcare needs of underprivileged patients. The donation is expected to play a pivotal role in SVMC’s ability to deliver quality healthcare to rural patients. The initiative is part of the bank’s efforts to support social service initiatives and improve healthcare outcomes in rural areas.
