Hurun India, in partnership with IDFC First Bank Limited, has released the 2nd edition of “India’s Top 200 Self-made Entrepreneurs of the Millenia 2024”. Radhakishan Damani, founder of Avenue Supermarkets Limited (DMart), topped the list for the second consecutive year with a valuation of Rs 3.4 lakh crore, witnessing a growth of 44%. Deepinder Goyal, CEO of Zomato Media Private Limited, ranked 2nd, with a net worth of over Rs 2.5 lakh crore, an increase of 190%. Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy, founders of Swiggy Private Limited, secured the 3rd spot. The report highlights that Bengaluru is the most prominent location for these self-made entrepreneurs, with 98 entrepreneurs, followed by New Delhi and Mumbai. The combined valuation of companies on the list is Rs 36 lakh crore, marking a 20% increase compared to 2023. The report also highlights the growth of women entrepreneurs, with 19 women on the list, including Falguni Nayar, founder and CEO of Nykaa.
