Many banks in India have made changes to their credit card policies and terms and conditions in December 2024. AU Small Finance Bank has revised its reward point usage for its Ixigo AU credit card, discontinuing points for educational, government, rent, and BBPS transactions. It has also introduced new reward points for utility, telecom, and insurance spends. Axis Bank has revised the general terms and conditions of most of its credit cards, including changes to fees and charges, cashback benefits, and interest rates. SBI has revised its utility payment fees, applying a 1% fee on payments exceeding Rs. 50,000 in a billing period. YES Bank has revised its reward point redemption categories, capping redemptions at 70% of the total invoice value or a certain number of points per calendar month. These changes aim to improve credit card usage and reward systems, but cardholders are advised to review the changes and adjust their spending habits accordingly.
