AU Small Finance Bank is updating the features of its Ixigo AU credit card, effective December 22, 2024. Key changes include the discontinuation of reward points on specific categories such as education, government services, rent, and Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS). Additionally, the bank will no longer offer reward points on international spending due to the introduction of a 0% forex markup. The card will still offer 1 reward point per ₹100 on telecom, utility, and insurance transactions, but with a cap of 100 points per transaction for insurance spends. These changes aim to streamline the card’s benefits and align with evolving customer needs. Other banks, such as Axis Bank and Bank of Baroda, are also making adjustments to their credit card features, reflecting a trend towards linking benefits to spending behavior.
As of December 22, this credit card will undergo updates, introducing revised reward points and new features.
