Punjab and Sind Bank has revised its fixed deposit (FD) interest rates, offering attractive returns to general citizens, senior citizens, and super senior citizens. The bank has kept interest rates on FDs ranging from 7 days to 10 years at 4% to 7.45% per annum. Senior citizens receive an additional 0.50% interest, with the highest rate being 8% per annum for non-callable FDs of 555 days. Super senior citizens (aged 80 or above) receive an additional 0.15% interest on special period FDs. The new interest rates apply to new and renewable FDs, but not to NRE, NRO, Capital Gains, and Bulk Deposits. The revised rates are effective from November 14, 2024. The bank’s FD rates are as follows: 6.25% for over 10 years, 7.50% for general citizens, 8.00% for senior citizens, and 7.45% for super senior citizens. The rates vary depending on the deposit period, with higher rates offered for longer periods.
