Sabre Corporation has achieved a milestone with the signing of its 100th network planning & optimization deal, with Air India Express becoming its newest customer. The airline, a subsidiary of Air India, will utilize Sabre’s Schedule Manager and Slot Manager tools from its Network Planning & Optimization suite to streamline flight schedules and optimize slot utilization.

Rakesh Narayanan, Vice President, Regional General Manager, Asia Pacific, Travel Solutions Airline Sales, emphasized the importance of smart network planning strategies, especially in the rapidly evolving Indian aviation market. He stated that Sabre’s technology is trusted by airlines globally for its ability to optimize their operations.

Sabre’s Schedule Manager enables airlines to create, modify, and publish optimal schedules based on market demand, operational constraints, and business goals. Meanwhile, Slot Manager helps carriers manage their slot requests and allocations. Air India Express, which operates over 2,800 weekly departures across 200 routes and 54 destinations, will leverage these tools to maximize revenue and passenger demand.

This milestone signifies the level of trust airlines have in Sabre’s ability to deliver effective technology solutions for their operations. With the Indian aviation market experiencing significant growth, driven by record plane orders, new carriers, and infrastructure investments, Air India Express’ partnership with Sabre is poised to play a critical role in their success.
