A Bahrain-bound Air India Express flight from Cochin International Airport turned back shortly after taking off due to suspected tyre trouble. The issue was identified shortly after the plane became airborne, prompting the crew to receive instructions to return to the airport as a precaution to ensure passenger safety. The airport authorities were arranging for the safe landing of the aircraft. The cause of the tyre trouble was still unknown. In a separate incident, a woman made two hoax calls to a helpline at Mumbai International Airport, warning of a “major problem” and urging the cancellation of a Mumbai-Delhi flight. The calls were traced to Andheri East, but the caller remained elusive. The Sahar Police registered an FIR and were investigating the incident.
