IndiGo launched its first direct daily flights from Bengaluru to Langkawi, Malaysia, on Monday. Langkawi is the airline’s 36th international destination and 124th overall, further expanding its global network. The flight aims to enhance connectivity between India and Malaysia, offering travelers a convenient and affordable way to visit Langkawi. The airline’s Head of Global Sales, Vinay Malhotra, expressed excitement about the launch, stating that Langkawi is a popular destination with pristine beaches and rainforests, and the recent visa waiver for Indian citizens is expected to increase demand. IndiGo has also recently expanded its international network from Bengaluru, introducing direct flights to Mauritius and Bali, and resumed flights to Kuala Lumpur. The airline aims to deliver a hassle-free travel experience and position Bengaluru as a major international hub.
