Air India has announced plans to build a new cadet pilot school, which is set to commence construction in December 2024. The facility will provide training to aspiring pilots and help increase the airline’s pilot pool. Additionally, Air India is focused on bringing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services in-house, which will enable the airline to have more control over its fleet management and reduce reliance on third-party providers. The airline has also partnered with KidZania to launch the Immersive Aviation Academy, which aims to ignite the passion for aviation in young minds. Furthermore, Air India has planned to provide training to around 50,000 of its staff at its own training facility, showcasing the airline’s commitment to nurture its employees and provide them with the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
