Alliance Air launched direct flights between Guwahati and Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, on Wednesday, with two flights per week on Mondays and Wednesdays. The 18-seater aircraft departed from Guwahati at 12:55 pm and landed in Ziro at 2:00 pm. The inaugural flight was welcomed by local officials, who noted the significant public interest and potential need for increased flight frequency. The new route is expected to boost tourism in the picturesque Ziro Valley, providing easier access to the area and quicker access to specialized medical care in larger cities. Alliance Air is also planning to launch new direct flights from Prayagraj to several cities, pending DGCA approval, to accommodate the Maha Kumbh influx.
