Chennai: A seafarer from China, reported missing since April 6, was found dead at Ennore port on Wednesday.Earlier this month, a Chinese vessel had berthed at Ennore port with 22 seafarers onboard.The man, Gong Yuwv, 52, was reported missing since April 6. Since the ship started from Indonesian port, a missing complaint was filed in the country. Gong’s body was found near a deserted stretch on the Ennore port. Chennai and Kamarajar Ports cross ₹1,000 crore operating income in FY 2023-24

CHENNAI : Chennai Port Authority (CPA) and its subsidiary, Kamarajar Port Ltd (KPL) in Ennore, North Chennai, crossed ₹1,000 crore (each) in operating income in a financial year in 2023-24, For the first time.

This is owing to the higher cargo handling by both the major ports during the fiscal.
