On International Women’s Day, Himalaya Wellness, India’s number one face wash brand, launched the Himalaya 1derwoman Project, an initiative to empower young girls to pursue their dreams and become leaders in their chosen fields. The project aims to bridge the gap between ambition and opportunity by connecting young girls with real-life female role models, particularly in sports and other fields. Himalaya partnered with the 2024 WPL champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Women’s Team, to provide exclusive training and mentorship sessions to young cricketers.
Fifteen young female cricketers from a Bengaluru-based cricket academy attended a special training session with RCB players, including Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, and Shreyanka Patil, among others. The session was a transformative mentorship experience, where these young athletes had the opportunity to interact with successful female role models in sports, building confidence, self-belief, and showcasing that they belong in the field.
Himalaya Wellness also sponsored cricket kits for the young players, ensuring they have the necessary tools to pursue their passion. The company aims to expand the project to reach over 500,000 girls across India, equipping them with the resources and encouragement needed to chase their dreams. The project is a testament to Himalaya’s commitment to empowering young girls and creating a movement that enables them to achieve their full potential.
Rajesh Krishnamurthy, Business Director, Himalaya Wellness, emphasized that the company believes every girl has the potential to be a trailblazer and leader in her own right. The Himalaya 1derwoman Project is a natural extension of their commitment to empowering young women, providing them with the right mentorship, encouragement, and resources to pursue their ambitions. By partnering with RCB, Himalaya Wellness aims to create a movement that empowers young girls to see themselves as future leaders and achievers, breaking barriers and achieving their full potential.
