Colgate University has hired Curt Fitzpatrick, the current head coach of SUNY Cortland, to lead their football program. Fitzpatrick has a impressive track record, leading Cortland to a 45-5 overall record and a national championship in his four years at the helm. He also won four Empire 8 conference titles and went undefeated in conference play (25-0). Additionally, he was named national coach of the year twice and was ranked among the top-30 coaches in college football by ESPN. Fitzpatrick is a Fulton, NY native and has previously coached at SUNY Morrisville. He is set to replace Stan Dakosty, who was fired after a 2-10 season. The university’s president and athletic director praised Fitzpatrick, citing his commitment to excellence and developing student-athletes with character and integrity.
