The Adirondack Research Consortium (ARC) has partnered with Colgate University to launch a new journal focused on studying the region’s economy, environment, and cultural heritage. The journal, titled “Adirondack Review of Interdisciplinary Studies” (ARIS), aims to foster interdisciplinary research and scholarship on the Adirondack region. The partnership brings together experts from various fields, including economics, environmental science, anthropology, and more, to investigate the relationships between the region’s natural and human systems.

The journal will feature peer-reviewed articles, research briefs, and book reviews, as well as a section for early-career researchers to share their work. The inaugural issue is expected to be published in the fall of 2023. The partnership reflects Colgate University’s commitment to community engagement and research, as well as the Adirondack Research Consortium’s mission to promote sustainable development and resilience in the region.

By bringing together scholars and practitioners, the ARIS journal aims to bridge the gap between academia and the broader community, providing valuable insights and recommendations for policymakers, business leaders, and the general public.
