Jayen Mehta has been appointed as the Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (Amul) for a five-year term, from 2025-2030. The decision was made at the GCMMF’s board meeting in late November. As the MD, Mehta, who has 34 years of experience with GCMMF, will lead the organization, which is India’s largest Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) enterprise, with an annual brand sales turnover of ₹80,000 crore. The organization manages over 30 million liters of milk daily and has 3.6 million milk producers in Gujarat, operations through 18,600 village dairy cooperative societies. Mehta is a member of the Standing Committee of Marketing for the International Dairy Federation (IDF) and has received recognition for his work, including being named as part of Campaign Asia’s Asia Pacific Power List in 2024. Under his leadership, Amul has achieved global recognition as the strongest food and dairy brand worldwide.
