Chief Ayirimi Emami, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, has condemned the recent pipelines of Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) in Warri North LGA of Delta State, which were allegedly damaged by the Niger Delta Liberation Movement (NDLM). The NDLM claimed responsibility for the attack, calling it “Operation CHEVRON DRAGNET”. Emami described the action as “unfortunate and unwarranted” and reiterated that the Itsekiri people have civilized means to address their grievances with Chevron and other oil companies. He urged security agencies to catch the perpetrators and prevent a recurrence, emphasizing the importance of unity in supporting the President’s efforts to increase daily oil production. Emami also praised the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration’s efforts to boost the country’s oil production.
