Patanjali Ayurved, led by Baba Ramdev, reported a 23.15% increase in its total income to Rs 9,335.32 crore for 2023-24, driven by significant other income from sources such as Patanjali Foods (earlier known as Ruchi Soya) and income from other group entities. The company’s revenue from operations decreased by 14.25% to Rs 6,460.03 crore, primarily due to the transfer of its food business to Patanjali Foods in July 2022. However, the company reported a five-fold jump in its total profit to Rs 2,901.10 crore in FY24. Advertising and promotional expenses increased by 9.28% to Rs 422.33 crore. The company has also shifted its home and personal care business to Patanjali Foods for a consideration of Rs 1,100 crore. The group’s edible oil-making arm, Patanjali Foods, reported a total revenue of Rs 31,961.62 crore in FY24, a slight increase from the previous year. Patanjali Ayurved operates in the ayurvedic product and FMCG business, with manufacturing facilities across India and contract manufacturing facilities in Dehradun and Manesar. Its sales are primarily in India through independent distributors, marketing federations, and exclusive stores.
